Cities to Draw Inspiration From

Bogota, Columbia

A professor of mine used to live in Bogota during the 1980s. She described the city's public transportation as one which was owned and operated by at least ten different companies, each operating independently with out any coordination. Each bus had a picture on it of the neighborhood it served and operated with out a schedule. One had to learn by word of mouth and trial and error, how to get from one part of the city to another.

Now, they have a system to envy (or model).
