Meatballs and Som Tam
Yesterday I spent the night at Khon Kaen's "Walking Street Market". The city tries to keep the vendors unique and interesting. The end result is an usually un-Thai mix of vintage products and quirky handicrafts. Old steel company signs from the 50s met henna tattoos met...apparently, vintage handmade Italian shoes.

If you look closely you can see the Italian flag on the tongue.
The vendor I purchased these beauties from had rows upon rows of secondhand leather shoes, all from the Italian motherland. As they were all less than $15, I think all be returning here on a weekly basis.
Oh! And check this weird plant that popped up in the student garden. It looks like something from Mario Bros.
